Where the Tour Begins and When

The Fernandina Beach historic district is essentially one long walk. This walkable and intriguing area makes for a perfect tour, as you self-guide and visit all the destinations.

The tour opens up at 12pm on Dec 9th and is expected to continue through the majority of the day closing at 5pm. It can begin at any of the bed & breakfasts on the official tour list.

The Price and Where to Purchase Tickets

You can purchase tickets at any of the participating bed & breakfasts or at the Amelia Island Visitor’s Center.
The Visitor’s Center is located at 102 Centre St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Starting Dec 1st, tickets will only be available in person at any of the participating bed and breakfasts.

What to Expect at Each Location

Guests will find a cookie, but that is not all. Each stop along the self-guided tour is decorated with illuminating lights and other various holiday-themed decorations.

The specific giveaways and perks vary by location, but you may find coupons for a weekend stay, gift cards, or ornaments, among other things.

Other Perks and Features of the Holiday Tour

Your ticket is your entrance to a number of lovely perks. For example, tour guide participants can take a complementary horse-drawn carriage along Atlantic Ave. Carriages will be stationed along the path. Simply display your ticket and hop on board.

Trolleys will also be available if you want to get their a bit faster and can forgo the experience of going by horse (at least for a few legs of the tour).

Participants will also receive a personal recipe card. It is a special gift thanking everyone who participates, allowing them to try their best at baking the magical cookies they try on the tour.

Lastly, a portion of the sales directly help the various local and independent bed & breakfasts, as well as the Friends of the Library group. Many participants have attended the long-running Amelia Island cookie tour every year since its founding.
