Available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the sunrise yoga class is taught by a certified Health and Fitness Instructor to help you stretch and relax. Seabreeze Segway Tours
For those with experience with Segways, the Seabreeze Segway Tours are a great way for you to experience the island in a fresh, innovative way. In this specific tour, guests are invited to explore the seaside while gliding over sand dunes, and witnessing unique marine life. The tour is available on Labor Day, September 5th, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. It’s important to note that this activity is best suited for adults, as children under the age of 16 are not permitted.
Sounds on Centre
If you’re looking to dance, we’ve found your perfect activity! Sounds on Centre is a regular event that takes place on the first Friday of every month from April to October from 6 to 8 p.m. in Downtown Fernandina Beach at the intersection of Second Street and Centre Street. If you happen to be on Amelia Island on Friday September 2nd, you’ll be able to catch this fun event. Each month a new band is featured bringing a unique style and flare. This evening activity is perfect for the entire family to listen to some great music and enjoy the atmosphere. And to make it even better, the event is entirely free! The event also features fun raffle drawings to enter and see if you’re lucky enough to receive a prize, courtesy of some of the local businesses from the area.
Turtle Trot 5K and Kid’s 1-mile Fun Run
For those who are really interested in burning some energy on their Labor Day, the Amelia Island Runners Club hosts a Turtle Trot 5k and Kid’s Fun Run on September 5th, starting at 7:30 a.m. at Main Beach Park. This event is a great way to get some exercise, while also taking in the beautiful seaside scenery. Runners and walkers alike are welcome and encouraged to participate. Guests must register for the event and are encouraged to arrive early as the race starts at 7:30 sharp. Parking is free at Main Beach Park.
