State Parks

Fort Clinch State Park is a beautiful place to take the family that has history, activity and great scenery all rolled into one.  Take a tour of the amazing historic civil war fort and then hop on your bike and take a ride on some of the extensive trails throughout the park.  Spend a night at one of the many well-maintained camping areas located in the park and wake up in the morning to a beautiful stroll on the beach. Petrified sharks teeth have been known to be in abundance along these lengthy shorelines.

The Amelia Island State Park is also a great option for some pristine natural scenery, relaxation and tranquility.


After the park take a trip down to the Amelia Island Museum of History to find an abundance of information about the area and local artifacts.

Horse Activities

If your family prefers equestrian activities then contact the Kelly Seahorse Ranch and take a dream ride down the beach on one of their exquisite horses.

Historic Shopping

Finish the fun-filled day off with a nice stroll in the Amelia Island Historic District which is full of neat, locally owned, boutique shops and restaurants. This is a beautiful little town that boasts over 400 historic homes, churches and commercial buildings. Fernandina Beach is the home of Florida’s oldest surviving lighthouse, drinking establishment, and hotel.  End the day with a delightful horse-drawn carriage ride around the historic district viewing its well preserved Victorian-era architecture.
